From move-in day to moving-out day.

1

Add your home & appliances

Set up your property, then add appliances and systems — HVAC, water heater, roof, appliances — each with purchase date and warranty length.

2

Follow a seasonal schedule

HouseProof surfaces the upkeep tasks that matter each season — filter changes, gutter cleaning, smoke alarm tests — with reminders before they're due.

3

Snap receipts & proof photos

When you complete a task or a vendor does the work, attach a receipt or photo on the spot. Track who did the work and what it cost.

4

Export a home report

When you file an insurance claim, sell, refinance, or need warranty proof, export a complete home report from everything you've logged.

Common questions

Can I use HouseProof records for an insurance claim?

Yes. HouseProof stores photos, receipts, and appliance details in one place so you can pull together documentation quickly when you need to file a claim. It's not insurance software and doesn't file claims for you — it just keeps the paper trail organized so you're not digging through email and shoeboxes when something goes wrong.

How does HouseProof help with warranty claims?

Every appliance or item you add can carry a purchase date, warranty length, receipt photo, and manual. HouseProof calculates the expiry date and reminds you before it lapses, so when something breaks you already have the proof of purchase and warranty terms on hand instead of searching for a receipt from three years ago.

Is my data private? Does HouseProof store my home records in the cloud?

HouseProof is local-first — your home records, photos, and documents live on your device by default. Nothing is required to sync to a server to use the app. This matters for home records specifically: photos of your house, serial numbers, and financial receipts are sensitive, and keeping them on-device avoids handing that data to a third party.

How much does HouseProof cost?

HouseProof is free to download and use for a single property with core tracking. HouseProof Pro is an optional upgrade that unlocks unlimited properties, full document storage, and PDF export for home reports — useful if you manage more than one property or want a complete exportable record.

Can renters or landlords use HouseProof, not just homeowners?

Yes. Renters can use it to document move-in condition and track their own appliance receipts and repairs, and landlords can use it to keep a maintenance and vendor history per property — useful for security deposit disputes, lease renewals, or simply knowing when the last HVAC service happened at a given unit.
